November - Gatsby Day Fall Festival

Saturday, November 7th.  Chinqua Penn is celebrating its annual Fall Festival with the Gatsby Day celebration, so wear your roaring 20’s flapper dresses and zoot suits if you like or whatever’s comfortable for an autumn festival.

Super entertainment is lined up for the afternoon, the Penn Family Music Ensemble, featuring George, Dixie and Georgianna Penn.  They’ll take you on a musical journey from the forties and fifties to now.  That will include some swing, big band, a little jazz, to country, some beach tunes, top forties and more.  You’ll probably be familiar with every song on their play-list and you’re welcome to ‘cut the rug’ in the courtyard.

There will be fine arts on display, and for purchase, provided by members of the Studio Group and others around the area.  Festival crafters will be offering pottery, an array of beautiful hand-made jewelry of all kinds, as well as handmade wooden dough bowls, bird feeders & houses.  See the beauty in recycled art, Grandma's quilt, decorated gourds, sun-catchers and
much more.

High Rock Farms will have their sugar pecans and roasted chestnuts on the fire.  Local baked goods, sweets and breads will all stimulate your senses with the aroma of a fresh-made bakery.  The variety of craft vendors with their unique collections for you to browse will sway you toward that special gift for those special folks on your Christmas lists.

If it's unique, eclectic, fashionable, the cat's meow...it will be at Chinqua Penn's fourth annual fall festival. You can shop all day, enjoy your lunch outside with the music, the fall foliage, and a warm bowl of stew, some barbecue, or your favorite
sandwich, funnel cakes, snacks and more.

Kids will enjoy a pony ride, face-painting, a hay-ride and panning for treasures.  Bring the whole family there will be something for everyone!
