This Saturday December 5th the Girls Scouts of Rockingham County will be at Chinqua Penn with their luminary canned food drive.
From 5:30 - 7:30pm the Girl Scouts will have the drive leading up to the house lined with luminaries, and Girl Scouts will be caroling and selling hot chocolate to raise money to support their programs. During this time, you can get free grounds admission to enjoy the outside holiday lights for any canned food donation. Or for the donation of 2 canned goods per person adult admission for the candlelight tours is only $10 for adults and $5 for youth (6 - 16) (kids under 5 are always free).
Also in the house this Saturday the Mt Zion Caroleers will be performing classic Victorian Christmas carols in the house from 5:30 - 8:30pm dressed in Victorian costume.
Canned foods will be given to help the needy in our community through the Red Cross of NC.
