Around the House: In the formal courtyard in front of the Mansion, a cast lead fountain shaped like a cupid with bow welcomes guests. It was designed by Louis Lerambert and purchased by the Penns from the Gardens of Versailles in the 1920s. Formal Gardens are located behind they Y-shaped home.

Entrance: The Lodge Group was built in 1923 and housed the families of the gardener and chauffeur, a three-bay garage and a laundry facility.
Clock Tower: Adjacent to the Lodge Group is the stone clock tower built in 1928. The lower level was used to smoke meat, and the three upper floors contain the Deagan Chimes and Edward Howard clock works. The four clock faces are controlled by the Howard mechanism and over a week's period, gravity lowers the 450-pound weight, turning the gears to keep time.
Lutton Greenhouses: The greenhouses and cold frames were purchased by the Penns in 1928 from Jersey City, New Jersey. The wood, steel and glass structure has a spacious head house and five bay areas.
