Starting November 26th, 2010, we will be celebrating our fifth Christmas season since the purchase and revitalization of the plantation by the Phelps family. The manor house and grounds that were built by Jeff and Betsy Penn in the 1920's and which are still filled with the treasures that the Penn's travelled the world collecting, will once again be decorated elegantly for the season.
Lisa Phelps personally oversees the decorating each year. This year we will have at least a twenty themed trees including two grand fraser firs from the NC mountains; poinsettias, garland and other unique and beautiful decorations throughout the mansion. 
There will be many new things to see this year. Don't miss the chance to experience Christmas at Chinqua Penn on a Saturday evening, as the home is illuminated by candlelight and the grounds sparkle with the season. See Christmas Photos. Live holiday music fills the home on Saturday evenings. You may even find the perfect holiday gift in our gift shop, which offers work by local artists, antiques, plants, elegant Chinqua Penn gift and wine baskets and unique gifts.
